Learn how to utilize the three essential components of successful performance creation: choreography, composition, and blocking. The course aims to assist directors and performers in exploring new methods for incorporating movement into their artistic endeavors.

We welcome directors, dancers, movers, choreographers, physical theatre actors, contemporary circus and musical theatre performers, as well as performance artists from all over the world who wish to enhance or diversify their skills and knowledge. Additionally, practitioners from related sports or practices who seek a deeper understanding of movement in contemporary performance are also encouraged to join.

Each week, students receive distant tasks, assignments, cases for self-studies which gradually lead them to an understanding of the topic and the ability to apply knowledge to the projects.
Objectives of the course:
Explore the director’s role in movement directing;
Grow an ability to create a tempo-rhythm in performance;
Gain tools and skills to create choreography independently;
Build a foundation for communicating the artistic vision to the choreographer;
Understand how to encourage the choreographer to contribute to your ideas and how to produce joint ideas.
