Ensemble Building Course
3 Months, Distance education (IUGTE with NIPAI)
Investigate the relationship between the theatre director and the performers in order to create a friendly environment and a creative atmosphere during rehearsals.
In this course, students will have the opportunity to explore the role of physical training in the ensemble-building process, techniques for working with actors in a playful manner, and strategies for developing a specific atmosphere, cohesion, and dynamics within the group.

There is a high demand for professional theatre directors who can assemble an ensemble with unfamiliar performers, considering the limited amount of time available for rehearsals. The course offers special techniques for creating a friendly environment and motivating the team to achieve their best results while being responsible leaders for them.

Each week, students receive distant tasks, assignments, cases for self-studies which gradually lead them to an understanding of the topic and the ability to apply knowledge to the real-life projects.
Objectives of the course:
Explore the role of physical training for performers;
Investigate various actors training techniques;
Get insight into improvisation aspects in the training;
Learn how to develop creative environment and foster ensemble building process;
Learn how to lead actors through the creative process and unfold their artistic nature.

The core of every program at NIPAI is learning by doing! Therefore, in our distance course, students will acquire knowledge through practical tasks for directors, which enhance their understanding and technical skills in the fundamentals of composition, stage planning, storyboarding, scale models, and creating atmosphere using a specific design concept.
Upon successful completion of all tasks, students can receive a Certificate of Completion.

How are the fees paid?For individual applicants, there are the following payment options available: Option 1. Tuition fee is made in one installment. Option 2. Tuition fee is made in two installments. Once admitted to IUGTE and NIPAI, students should pay a deposit to secure their place in the program.

What is the deadline for application?We accept applications on the regular basis. However, it is suggested to apply early because the participation fee increases as the start dates of some educational programs approach.

Can I obtain diploma online?Yes, absolutely! Online Learning is held fully as a distance learning program. The course content and teaching methods are designed to support learning flexibility and access from around the world.

How experienced do I have to be in order to apply?Every application is considered individually. We are open for advanced and professional actors, performers, directors, dancers, choreographers. Please be clear in your application about your experience. Other than requesting a minimum age of 18 years old, we have no age limit.

Are there any further costs?We are committed to making the most of your course reading list available online through the library, which you can access with your university account. However, you may need to purchase some books for your studies depending on the module you are studying and your research interests.
